Sensex down 16.5% since 2 Jan, Microcap 250 up 11.7%

From 2 January to 8 October, the Sensex and Nifty 50 fell 16.5% and 15.6% and the Nifty Midcap 150 fell 5.6%, whereas the Nifty Smallcap 250 and Nifty Microcap 250 rose 4.1% and 11.7%. Foreign investors sold a net Rs 3.04 lakh crore of Indian shares by 8 Oct, a calendar-year record in NSDL data going back to 2002.
